What it’s about – Fake News

By | August 13, 2017

This blog is about how the mismatch between evidence and peoples views  generates ‘Fake News’. It will start by looking particularly at UK politics and the UK economy.
The economy affects everyone’s life through – NHS, infrastructure, employment, wages/salaries, defence, education, social care, etc. It is useful if policy makers and the general public understand the broad economic drivers and are not locked into belief systems that lack evidence.
Belief systems lead to ‘Fake News’ and generate propaganda by ignoring and misinterpreting evidence
The blog will look at evidence from neuroscience and psychology for the way the human brain processes evidence and prevents people changing their views in response to contradictory evidence. How people automatically become locked into their views.
Hopefully if any alternative views are contributed they will have supporting evidence.
